Hi,

I have one problem and one goal. For me the goal is important, so don’t care about the problem if there is a easy way to get to the goal.

– goal : I want to have WordPress installed with the WordPress theme Arkitekt on some kind of local development enviroment (my internet is slow and unstable) asap. This theme somehow needs a ftp-connection.

– problem : I broke MAMP. When I try to accces localhost with running apache i get access forbidden page. So im trying to fix that first because I think its most easy for me to figure out the local ftp access with mamp. (at least I think this is a good way to my goal). I can not uninstall mamp so that every bit of it is gone. My uninstaller doesn’t work. Because I deleted one mamp folder manually previously (when i didn’t know there is an uninstaller). I also tried to delete folders and install mamp again. Then uninstall this and install again, but my localhost access (access forbidden page) problem remains the same.

I appreciate any help!! (I have been trying to solve that since more than a week!)

This sometimes help with localhost systems where FTP access is usually required, add this to your wp-config.php file:
define('FS_METHOD', 'direct');
If this does not help, the suggest that you ask in the Arkitekt theme support forum.

Now for fixing MAMP.
Can you get past the apache html test “It works” ?
Can you get this php file to display, test.php: ?

<?php
phpinfo();
?>

Probably accessed as “https://localhost/test.php”

Suggest that you report step by step results.
