Template tag for inserting a specific post?

  • My first post in my WordPress blog will describe my site. I want to create an About page that actually shows this specific post. What’s the template tag I should use to insert a particular post into a page?

    Go all the way down, and have a look at Post Tags. ??

    Wouldn’t it just be easier to create an About page and just put the information in the page? Or maybe I’m being obtuse.

    I’ve actually already looked through that site, but I couldn’t find what I was looking for. I think I’ll do a redirect instead >_<

    I agree with joni, why not just use the Write –>Page feature built into WP? Just copy and paste the text into the page, and with permalinks, you would have yoursite.com/about.
