    Hi,

We would like to show a Fair Market Value (FMV) for quid pro quo donations on our receipts, which corresponds to the amounts we assign to each donation level. In many instances, a donor may choose a custom amount which is more than the donation level amount. How do we capture both FMV and actual donation?

Also, what is the difference between {amount} and {payment_total}?

Thank you in advance for your help.

    Hi @shihtzurescue,

Both the {amount} and {payment_total} output essentially the same thing.
{amount} will display a fee breakdown if you use the Fee Recovery add-on.

That said, the {donation} tag will display the donation form name, and the donation level (if applicable).

Thank you, @mrdaro . Am I right that the {donation} tag captures the donation level text and not the donation level amount? Is there a way to display the donation level amount, if not captured by the {donation} tag? Your help is appreciated.

    Hi @shihtzurescue,

The {donation} tag will capture the donation level text if and only if the donor selected a level to donate to. Other than that there’s no built-in way to display just the donation level.
