Have a message appearing in the Dashboard that some of the template files need to be updated to the latest WooCommerce versions.
Problem is these are the 2 files.
mytemplate/woocommerce/taxonomy-product_cat.php version 1.6.4 is out of date. The core version is 4.7.0,
mytemplate/woocommerce/taxonomy-product_tag.php version 1.6.4 is out of date. The core version is 4.7.0
but the 2 replacement files are
    taxonomy-product-cat.php
    taxonomy-product-tag.php
with a dash”-” instead of an underscore “_”
    are these ok to replace?
    Any help appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hi there ??

Here is an excellent guide from our documentation that perfectly explains how to do this. Here is the link:

    https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/fix-outdated-templates-woocommerce/

    I hope that helps ??

PHP skills or a developer will be needed for template updates using the WooCommerce technical document.

You don’t tell us about your site or your theme. If its a premade free or commercial theme, ensure you have the latest version since that should come with the latest templates. If you have the latest version but still see the message, you could put in a support call to the theme’s support service.
