Templates for wordpress blog within wordpress site?

    I have a wordpress website (which was set up by somebody else who created a custom template) and I am wanting to incorporate a blog into it. I have set up a blog page but it literally is just text. I can add images but they just appear as a square image under the text. This doesn’t look great at all! I want to integrate something that looks nice, like an actual website (as most blogs do) so with different categories etc rather than just plain blog posts. It doesn’t need to exactly match my website.
    I know nothing about coding etc so if anyone knows of a simple way to do this or if there is a way for me to create a wordpress blog from a template and then integrate this into my site, I would very much appreciate any advice!

  • Why reinvent the wheel? Take a look at the themes available, pick one and it will already do what you’re asking.

    The blog page is a page within the wordpress website that I already have – so showing as an extra page on my website. But I want the page itself to look a bit nicer rather than just text.

    Currently, it is just lines of text and at the top it says the date it was published and by whom. I want it to appear as though it is an additional page on the website as most blogs as part of a website do.
