    Hi

I’m using Eventin 4.0.6. When I create the event and set the template, the template on the front end does not change. It doesn’t matter which template is chosen when creating/editing the event, only Template 1 gets shown.

If I change the template in the global settings of Eventin, then each and every event in the database uses the chosen template.

So in effect, each event cannot have its own template.

Why is the option to change the template there when you create the event if you cannot change it relative to the event?

    Thanks

I am rather disappointed that this issue has not been addressed in the new update. The template for the event can still only be controlled globally.

In addition, the template does not display the Map of the event. I have to create a map within the description for a map to be displayed, which is not convenient as my clients are the ones who will be creating the events.

Please get to grips with the templates part of your plugin. I have the Pro version and cannot go forth with your product on my live site until these issues are addressed.

    Hi @stevec0023,

Thank you for bringing these concerns to our attention. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused.

We are pleased to inform you that the issue with the event map display has been fixed in our latest version. If you haven’t updated yet, please do so, and the map should now display correctly if you set the MAP API key correctly and enabled it.

Regarding your feedback on the template control, we understand your frustration. Currently, the template can only be managed globally. However, we are actively working on enabling event-wise template control. Our development team is in the process of reformatting the code for templates, and we aim to include this feature in our next sprint. We appreciate your patience as we strive to enhance our product.

If the map fix does not resolve your inconvenience, please provide further details so our dev team can conduct more in-depth research and development.

Thank you for your understanding and support.

    Best Regards.

    Hi

I appreciate your response and continued efforts to improve your plugin. Thank you.

Regarding the templates, I look forward to future releases that address this issue.

As far as Google Maps are concerned, I do not see any change. I have my google maps API set in the back end settings and Google does call the address when entered at the point of event creation. However, only the written address is being brought into the front end template. The actual map itself does not show.

    Take a look: https://staging.events4kids.co.uk/event/joes-test-event/

    Am I missing something??

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi @stevec0023,

We regret to inform you that the MAP view feature is currently only compatible with template 2 and template 3. Upon reviewing the link to your event, it has been confirmed that you are utilizing template one, for which the MAP view is not operational at this time.

However, rest assured that we are committed to making this feature available for all templates in the next release. Please allow us some time for it.

Note: You can switch your templates from here: https://prnt.sc/dmxw1KjPUAAA

    Hope you get it.
    Best Regards

Got you!!! I see the map now!! Wooo Hooo!!

OK, so now I am going to ask this…if I wanted to change the layout of templates, I have read in your documentation that this is done via hooks and filters, but these changes will only effect template 1.

If I wanted to rearrange the layout of template 1 using hooks and filters, how can the map be incorporated into these changes?

A more detailed explanation of this process in your documentation would be helpful.

Honestly, I would like to suggest that the single event template page could be created as a template within Elementor, like you can do with WooCommerce Product pages, but your Elementor widgets only allow meta data from specified events to be pulled, not from the archive…if this makes sense to you?!?! Just a suggestion.

Anyway…thanks again for your responses and continued efforts to improve your plugin.

    Kind regards
