Templates now required for import?

    Yes, that is exactly correct. The templates allow much greater flexibility for moving syncing content back/forth from GatherContent, so it was a necessary change. It will take a bit of time to get the templates created and mapped, but once you do so, I think you’ll find the added flexibility well-worth it.

    One additional detail to note: Templates (once mapped) let you import all the Items that use that template – not having to do it for each Item one by one, so that will save a ton of time in the long-run.

    Ah, thanks Justin. This does makes sense and sounds like it will be a lot simpler to import.

    I’m having a bit of an issue applying templates to existing content but am working with GatherContent support on that.
