Hi, my client wants to disable Woo Commerce completely as they don’t currently have time to manage it but will want to enable it again in the future. If I deactivate the plugin, will it keep all of the data or do I run the risk of losing it?

    Thanks

    Hi!

You can safely disable WooCommerce. Or you can simply remove the pages from the menu.

    I hope this helps!

Thanks Shane. I have removed the pages from the menu, but not disabled WooCommerce yet. Does that mean that if someone has the page bookmarked, they can still purchase. Or will the pages still appear in Google search results?

Yes – if they can access the pages in any way, for example directly via the URL or via Google Results, they can still purchase. I’d get around this by either disabling the WooCommerce plugin, or adding a store notice that your shop isn’t open as well as disabling all payment methods so that they can’t purchase anything.
