Terrible Directory

My apologies for taking so long to respond; most of my time is spent in the support forums for the rewrite/upgrade of the old business directory plugin.

I will add a notice to the plugins Readme in an effort to avoid the confusion, but that will only work in cases where people read through the entire thing before installing… even I hardly ever do that!

All I see on that page is the shortcode, so I’m assuming you have the plugin disabled at this point. What was it doing, might I ask? I’m guessing it may have had trouble integrating with your theme?

Above the “new listing” thumbnails, do you mean?

You can turn those off via the dashboard settings page if you like. Go to your admin dashboard, choose “settings” from the Directory menu on the left, and then click on the “Appearance” tab. There’s a checkbox right at the top for turning them on or off. HTH

And can one have a sub menu or does everything just go down and down one menu item on top of the other?

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, I haven’t had a chance to check these forums in a little bit.

I believe you’re asking about having the categories set up differently… as of right now, you would have to customize the CSS in order to change it very much. Not as easy as flipping a switch, but definitely doable.

In the future there will be much more control from the admin on customizing the appearance. The best I can do for now is promise that if you stick around it will constantly improve!
