    I figured out that I needed to get the My Custom Functions Plugin and add the code there. Sadly the link on Give’s documentation doesn’t work which made me think it wasn’t an option worth pursuing. I still think the support team could be more generous with their support. I specifically said that I put the code into the custom area of my theme. It would have been easy and kind for them to mention that that was my problem. Not very friendly support but glad it works now.
