Tesseract theme effects of uploading WP 4.3

  • Tesseract Theme.
    I must have been tired as I update to 4.3 and in the morning I discovered a white band almost obliterating my header and totally blocking access to the editing tools etc in the temporary black bar.
    This white bar with

    showing as a link(blue and underlined), when I click on it moves to above the header but blocks the “black edit Bar”. The second click takes you down to the bottom of the header(or top of the image) also when the skip to content band blocks it also drops the “contact” from the header menu below to the left.
    I have cleared cache and cookies, and deactivated all plugins, observing with each deactivation it effect or no change, I repeated the same process when activating again
    Still no editing facilities
    Also when I click on “Quick Edit” nothing happens.
    Some pages have lost their formatting, that can be easily fixed

    I understand that this is a free software and the authors should be proud of the product, but at the moment it is very frustrating.
    Have I lost almost 3 months of fumbling and learning, is there a way to revert to the latest 4.2? Or do I sit like a tin of milk and wait for something to happen, At 80 years old i do not have much time left to wait or to learn Html, CSS, PNP.
    Any help would be appreciated as I was almost there.

    Update to the above

    Masthead size changed by WordPress 4.3 Upgrade

    I am using the Tesseract Theme, Mac OS 10.9.5, my website is
    24hrdeodorant.com.
    I must point out that do not know code at all but have fumbled around with using the “”Inspect Element” to get a vague idea of what happened.

    The 4.3 update created various problems most of which has been resolved. The major item is that the Masthead size was changed from 1097 px x 60 px to 512 px x 120 px , causing the last item of the horizontal menu to drop down. This size change only occurred to the “Home”Menu.
    As I am an ignoramus with code i have thought of the following possible solutions to the problem:-

    Removing the menu from the Home/landing page as I have 3 “Call To Action” Buttons on that page which would take the visitor to About, Must Know and Products pages, these would in turn allow the site visitor to access the Gallery/Links and Contact Pages.

    Locate and copy the Masthead code from the unaffected other pages. the locate the Masthead code of the “Home” page and substitute the copied code.

    Locate the Masthead dimensions in the code and just change the dimensions.

    Delete the present horizontal Main menu and use a drop down Icon style.

    Of course any of these solutions depend on a knowledge of code and a familiarity with editors. My experience is only with the “Editor “under “Appearance”and that did not get me anywhere, only to change colours.

    I am unable to change the measurements in Item 3. for the same reasons.

    I would appreciate any comments,tool suggestions, to solve my problems

    I feel I am shouting in the WordPress Forest and no one can hear me! Of course most Tesseract users are newbies who are attracted to Tesseract theme because of the so called NO need of code.
