    hi,

When I try to send a test email, I get the message:

“The test email might have sent, but its deliverability should be improved.”

And also, there are a DOMAIN CHECKS RESULTS:

SPF. Action Needed: It doesn’t look like the SPF record required by your SMTP server has been added to your domain. Please contact your SMTP server provider for details on how to find the SPF record, and how to add this record to your domain’s DNS.

DMARC. Action Recommended: It doesn’t look like DMARC has been set up on your domain (themobiledrs.com). We recommend using the DMARC protocol because it helps protect your domain from unauthorized use. Please check out our step by step guide for details on how to add this record to your domain’s DNS.

And when I try our form, the emails are not received.

    I get this message:

EMAIL DELIVERY ERROR: the plugin WP Mail SMTP v2.8.0 logged this error during the last time it tried to send an email:

    Mailer: Other SMTP
    SMTP Error: data not accepted.
Consider running an email test after fixing it.

    I am using yahoo bizmail.

This happens on a new and old websites.

WP Mail SMTP v2.8.0 and WP Mail SMTP v2.6.0

    Hi,

the Domain Check Results and the error your see are two different things to address.

First the email error. It looks like one of your emails that was sent from your site was not accepted by the Yahoo SMTP server. Some of the email data is not acceptable by the Yahoo SMTP server. This can be the email content, unacceptable attachment, invalid FROM email address (enabling the “Force From Email” plugin setting might resolve this issue for you), invalid reply-to address, non-existent TO email address… Different SMTP servers have different rules with what kind of email data they reject. The solution is to find which email sent from your site caused this issue error and try to change a few things to see if Yahoo SMTP will accept it.

The Email Test was sent and delivered, right?

As for the missing SPF record. Please contact Yahoo bizmail support and ask them if you need to configure an SPF record. Tell them you are using their SMTP server for sending emails with a custom “from email” domain. You are using and email address with your custom domain in it, right? I mean you are not using @yahoo.com…

I tried to find any docs on the SPF record for the Yahoo bizmail users, but didn’t find any official information.

    Have a nice day!
