    Hi there,

I’m trying to get this plugin to work but with the test I only get

    `SPF
Action Needed: It doesn’t look like the SPF record required by Sendinblue has been added to your domain. Please check out our step-by-step guide for details on how to add this record to your domain’s DNS.

    warning icon
    DKIM
Action Needed: It doesn’t look like the DKIM record required by Sendinblue has been added to your domain. Please check out our step-by-step guide for details on how to add this record to your domain’s DNS.`

I have bought the domain name from namecheap but am hosting at dreamhost. All the DNS setting from sendinblue I added at dreamhost.
I do not have an email account at either of those so I just wanted to use my protonmail as my websites email.

Any idea on how to make it work?

    Cheers!

    Hi there @jasonpblaslov,

How long had it been between updating your DNS and when you tested email sending? The reason I ask is that I do see the SPF record and Sendinblue code in your DNS. When your DNS is updated, it can take a few hours to update around the world, sometimes up to 24-48 hours in extreme cases. Try sending another test email and let me know if you still run into the same problem.

Also, in case it helps, check out this guide in our documentation. It walks through setting up a connection to Sendinblue, and includes screenshots of each step in the process: https://wpmailsmtp.com/docs/how-to-set-up-the-sendinblue-mailer-in-wp-mail-smtp/

I hope this helps! Have a great day!

    Hi there @dpinson ,
    thanks for reaching out;

it has been longer than 48 hours. And I did everything according to the guide.
Just to be sure I redid everything now; but I’m pretty sure I sid everything right the first time.

What else could be the problem?

    Hi @jasonpblaslov,

Sorry about the late response. I thought I had responded already but looks like I may not have hit submit.

Since your DNS is good, check your From Email address in WP Mail SMTP. Sendinblue will send with any email address in the From Email field, but our DNS check is looking at the domain for your From Email to verify the DNS records.

So basically if your domain is jasonpblaslov.com and your From Email is [email protected], our DNS check will look at example.com for the Sendinblue records. Sendinblue should still accept the email and send it, but our DNS check will come back with a false positive. Essentially, it’s flagging a problem that isn’t really a problem because of the way Sendinblue works.

I hope that helps! Have a great day! ??
