Hi there I’ve been testing WP Show Posts as a possible alternative to using Elementor’s post grids & etc before purchasing the Pro version.

I’ve made a simple test page in a similar fashion but unfortunately, I’m failing Web Vitals (Largest Contentful Paint = 5.2s, Time to Interactive = 4.5s). I’m a bit surprised as the Show Posts CSS is relatively small, but it’s still flagged as render-blocking in Pagespeed Insights.

Is there any way I can resolve this? Even with only WP Show Post loading in the given page, it’s still a poor score. Thank you!

(Note, didn’t want to disclose my web site’s URL publicly)

The issue is resolved! It turns out somehow my per-post/page CSS & JS optimization settings for WP Rocket were disabled, not minifying/combining/deferring the CSS & JS as it should have been. I enabled the checkboxes in the test pages and things were as they should have been again.

After further testing, using WP Show Posts I’ve been able to pretty much replicate my Elementor post grid & gallery functions for both the Home page & category pages but now they pass all Pagespeed Insights Web Vitals scores and get a score of 99-100 on mobile. Sweet!

Thanks! I’ll work on customizing them now.
