Testimonial box displays as all white in widget on IE9

Unfortunately that did not resolve it.

I placed the code in my style.css, cleared IE cache, and it remains as it was before with the large white box.

Any other ideas?

i’m curious to the solution as I see the background overridden twice to be initial. I wonder if changing initial to the desired background color would help.

I read your link and watched the video – both awesome by the way – and narrowed it down to “bx-wrapper” for the big white box showing on my site in IE9.

I updated my style.css to include

.bx-wrapper {
background-color: #313233;
}

#313233 being the dark gray I want as the background color…. no luck unfortunately in IE.

To troubleshoot and to confirm that it is the right code, I changed it to another color instead, and it does update in Chrome and Safari.

Any other ideas?

In the Inspect Element for IE9, are you able to use that code above? Does it work?

I’m new to Inspect Element and can’t quite figure out how to change the code to see the impact.

Great Plugin!!

I was also getting the “white background” problem in IE (8-10) I’ve read and followed all of your suggestions and found the offending CSS..

I finally was able to fix it by changing the suggested fix from:

background: initial;

to..

background: transparent !important;

@jbmoore, I’ve updated testimonials-widget.css to your fix. I hope it helps others as well. It’ll be out in the next release.
