Testimonial loses newlines

When I submit a testimonial with paragraphs separated by newlines, it gets deletes and joins all the paragraphs together when submitted. When I view it in the dashboard before publishing it, it looks like a giant paragraph.

So for example when I submit a testimonial like:
First line.
Second line.
Third line.

It gets submitted as “First line. Second line. Third line.”

Is there a way to keep the newlines? Also, if there could be something like a wysiwyg editor, that would be fantastic. Thank you!
