    Hello!

    We are noticing some problems with the navigation (left/right arrows and circles) not showing up for the slider when the page is loaded for the first time. So the first time a user is visiting a site, or if the browser cache is cleared, only one testimonial shows and no navigation. One must reload the page to see these elements, which obviously isn’t ideal for users. It looks like there’s a console error that might be preventing the script from loading?

    Here’s a screenshot.

    I’m seeing this issue in Firefox and Chrome.

    Can you provide any guidance or insight as to why this might be happening and how to fix it?

    Thank you so much!!!

    How to fix.

    Install Plugin Font Awesome https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/font-awesome/

    Add to your CSS Font Family
    These are the navigation buttons:

    .strong-view.controls-style-buttons3:not(.rtl) .wpmslider-prev:before, .strong-view.controls-style-buttons3 .wpmslider-stop:before,.strong-view.controls-style-buttons3:not(.rtl) .wpmslider-next:before {
    font-family: FontAwesome;
    }

    Thanks for trying, but unfortunately this did not help me. I don’t even have the controls rendering in the HTML when the page is reloaded, so the elements aren’t there to apply those styles to. Other suggestions?

    Hello @amdesigngroupavon,

    Can you please go to Testimonials > Settings > Compatibility > Compatibility Settings > Ajax Page Loading > set it to General > save and see if this fixes it.

    All the best,
    Mihaela

    Hello!

    This seems to have fixed it in Firefox, but it is still not loading properly in Chrome. I tried playing around with the other compatibility settings and didn’t hit upon any combinations that worked better in Chrome.

    Thank you!!!

    Hello @amdesigngroupavon,

    Just checked in Chrome, and it seems to working ok. Here is a screenshot: https://gyazo.com/9cc9f53abcfbe2a17bbfba0e532cd073
    Could you please clear your cache?

    Thank you,

    Hello!

    No luck. I still don’t see the navigation when I clear the cache in Chrome.

    When I clear the cache, the navigation goes away, and then when I refresh the page after having loaded it once since clearing the cache, the navigation comes back. I am seeing this behavior in Chrome and now it’s spotty in Firefox again.

    Thank you!!!

    Hello @amdesigngroupavon,

    Can you please try on a different computer?
    I just tested this on my end again an it works both on Chrome and Firefox.

    Can you please switch your theme to a WP default one and see if this fixes it?
    It might be a theme incompatibility.
    Please also let me know what theme are you using.

    Thank you,
    Mihaela
