    I tried to add testimonials using the testimonials template and not the testimonials function, as I want them to appear as a panel on my front page. However it doesn’t work. I assumed it would work like with the grid template, having a parent page (title, set to testimonial template) and child pages (testimonials, set to testimonial template). But apparently it doesn’t. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for any help!

    The missing piece is the Jetpack Plugin.

    You can install and activate Jetpack to add the Testimonial Post Type to your site – you’ll have a dedicated Testimonials section in your menu.

    Save your Testimonials there. Then assign your Testimonials page (using the Testimonials template) as a panel on your home page and it will pull in two random testimonials each time the page loads ??

    Just wanted to chime in and mention that the specific Jetpack module you’ll need to use Testimonials is called the Custom Content Types module.

    Ah! I had Jetpack but didn’t knew how this’ll work then. Thank you both for your help!

    Will the testimonials appear randomly in the front page every time the site loads? Because I tried refreshing my homepage but the testimonials are the same.

    @ishilta – this is the Pique theme forum. Front-page testimonials are displayed differently in Pique than in Sela – I answered your question in the Sela forum about how testimonials work in that theme.
