    Weird…

    Can you see the directory and files on the server when looking with FTP or another file browser?

    Did you unzip the file?

    Have you attempted to install the plugin as normal via WordPress > Plugins > Add new using search for “testimonials widget”?

    Or can you upload the zip file via the upload at WordPress > Plugins > Add new?

    yea it is very weird,i did unzip the file, i tried the normal add new,it would install successfully then ask me to activate,which i do then it directs to a link saying “invalid header”…this is shocking

    whenever i try to “upload the zip file via the upload at WordPress > Plugins > Add new” ofcourse after doing the online installation,then it gives the normal reply that “testimonials-widget file already exists”

    i retried installing online then activating, i was redirected to a link with “The plugin does not have a valid header.” notice

    After reading through the WordPress forums, I would suggest removing all of the Testimonials Widget directories and folders from your wp-content/plugin directory. Then install Testimonials Widget normally through WordPress > Plugins > Add new.

    this is a common problem with wordpress affecting several plugins…option suggested have been tried out including changing header section of the plugin file i.e. ensuring that the header comments do not have space after the php opening tag i.e

    CHANGING:
    <?php

    /*
    Author

    */
    ?>

    TO:

    <?php (difference from the above, the return key is not pressed)
    /*
    Author

    */
    ?>

    Are you still having trouble?

    Are you running the latest version of WordPress?

    Did you completely remove Testimonials Widget and install the normal way?

    testimonials-widget.php opens the header comment on line 2, not 3, as there’s no blank line per the prior message.
