    Hi,

I am currently working on a development site at:
    https://aanddrecruitment.choosepurple.co.uk/

I have included the Easy Testimonials Cycle widget on the home page, but it will not cycle.

None of the compatibility settings are checked (I’ve tried both with and without).

I think that the Javascript isn’t being loaded as the only thing that the plugin seems to load is it’s CSS file, nothing else.

    Please help!
    Rob

    Thanks,

    Hey @robstyrrell!

You are correct, neither our Javascript nor any of our CSS are being output on your website and this is the cause of your issue.

I’m not clear on why none of our javascript nor CSS is being output – do you have any caching, lazy loading, or other optimizations in place that could be causing this issue?

Does the issue only occur on the homepage, or does it occur on any page template that you setup the slideshow on?

    All the best,
    Richard

    Hi Richard,

There is no caching, lazyloading or any optimisations currently.
This also occurs on any page, see here:

    Hope you can help,
    Rob

    Hey @robstyrrell!

There is nothing from here that makes it clear why your theme wouldn’t be outputting our scripts and CSS.

Can you let me know what theme you’re using, and what other plugins you’re using, so I can attempt to reproduce the issue?

We have no options or mechanisms that disable the inclusion of our CSS, so the fact that the CSS is missing is particularly bizarre but probably indicative of something.

What version of the plugin are you using, and is it unmodified?

    Best,
    Richard

    Hi Richard,

    I’m using the following plugins:
    Akismet Anti-Spam (3.3.2)
    Custom Body Class (0.4.0)
Customize Submit Button for Gravity Forms (1.0.0)
    Duplicate Post (3.2)
    Duplicator (1.2.8)
    Easy Testimonials (2.3.1)
    Gravity Forms (2.2.3.1)
    HTML Editor Syntax Highlighter (2.0.0)
    Invisible reCaptcha (1.1)
    Jetpack by WordPress.com (4.9)
    Limit Login Attempts (1.7.1)
    LiteSpeed Cache (1.0.15)
    Regenerate Thumbnails (2.2.6)
    Search & Replace (3.1.2)
    TinyMCE Advanced (4.5.6)
    Widgetkit (2.9.8)
    WordPress Importer (0.6.3)

The theme I am using is called Katana by YooThemes:
    https://demo.yootheme.com/themes/wordpress/2014/katana/

As you can see from the list above I’m using version 2.3.1 of your plugin.
It is not modified in any way.

    Thanks,
    Rob

    Hey @robstyrrell!

Thank you for your patience and informative reply.

Are you able to disable the other plugins and see if miraculously the slideshow starts working?

I do see one in there that looks like a caching plugin – with problems like these I tend to first look at caching plugins, as they will be the most likely to do things with CSS / JS register/enqueues.

If you can, try disabling your other plugins and see if things miraculously start working. That would at least shed a bit more light on the mystery!

    All the best,
    Richard

    Hi Richard,

Unfortunately, I have already tried this to no avail.
Also, the caching plugin is currently deactivated.

    Thanks,
    Rob

    Hi Richard,

Just to let you know that this is now working.

I switched to the pre-installed WordPress 2017 theme and it worked, I then switched back to the Katana theme… and it still worked! Bizarre!

    Thanks for your help anyway.

    Hey Rob!

That is strange – I don’t exactly understand why switching back and forth between the themes fixed anything (given that there is no caching enabled, etc, I would expect the scripts to have been output in either case.)

Regardless, I’m thrilled that it is working for you now!

    Thanks for reaching out.

    All the best,
    Richard
