Testing Gravity form zero spam

Hi,

I am trying to test that this works. I have installed it and created a new gravityform. From the instructions, it says that I do not need to do anything else. When I submit this form by disabling the css to see the honetpot input box I expect to see spam in my spam folder but I get nothing. Not sure how to test that this works. Is that the expected behavior?
