Testing site on computer: all links borked(being redirected instead)!
-
Hi, I’m trying to test a site on my computer before I make any changes to the real site.
What I did was to install WordPress which went fine. Then, I restored the database which also went well, though when looking at the WP blog, I encountered some errors which have mostly been fixed, save for one big issue(detailed below) and another issue which I’ll try to fix on my own.
It seems that all the links on the blog are pointing to the site from which the database was backed up. That is, instead of 127.0.0.1/?cat2 , the links all point to https://www.blah.com/?cat2
and so on, instead. This affects even the WP-login link. It seems that the links are being redirected, instead?Does anyone know what I should do to rectify this issue? Do I need to get a mysql database editing software?
Technical details:
WordPress version = wordpress-2.2.1
mysql version = MySql Server 5.0.37
Php version = Not sure. I think it’s 5.2.3
Phpmyadmin version = 2.10.3
Server version = Abyss Web Server X1 (v 2.4)Thank you! ??
LucifielP.S. I attempted to search for this issue but was confronted with over 10,000 links.
