    Hey Anton,

This is just getting better, many thanks for all your work that goes into it, we really appreciate that. ??

I finally managed to give the plugin a good spin and I’m sharing a few findings that I came across.

    1. The Bulk Offload feature in the new 1.5.1 version seems to be a little buggy on my end. With the version 1.4+ I managed to offload 3000+ images with no issues.

Here, It starts offloading and I can see the progress bar, but when it gets to around 30+ images, it seems to jump back to ‘Processing first image ..’ and then it won’t move.

I keep jumping between windows while the offload is processing, I wonder if that could have anything to do with it.
    2. Sortable column – the first issue then brings me to a feature request – to make the admin column with the CF actions sortable.

At the moment since my offload stoped, some of my images are offloaded, some are not, so I’m hoping to sort through it and manually offload the ones that didn’t offload in bulk.

But currently I need to go from page to page to find those not offloaded. If the admin column was sortable, it would would make it a lot faster to sort offloaded vs not-offloaded.
    3. Image compression – resizing

I can see you’ve added compatibility with the ‘Enable Media Replace’ plugin by Shortpixel which is awesome.
I’m wondering if you could also add compatibility with the ‘Resize After Upload‘ by Shortpixel or potentially their Image Optimiser plugin.

I’m running a user submitted content website where users submit images. But sometimes I get crazy image sizes that people submit like 5000px wide, so I’d like to have ‘Resize After Upload’ plugin running that would automatically downsizes each image to 1600px wide right after it’s uploaded.

I haven’t tested this, but now I’m guessing this will probably conflict with the automatic offload feature of the CF Images plugin

So when the image is uploaded to the media library, the Resize After Upload plugin will trigger the downsizing, but at the same time the CF Images plugin will be offloading the image to CF, which would probably clash in some way, am I right?

So I was wondering if there is a compatibility with one of these plugins, it could possibly work the way that if the plugin is activated, the image is automatically downsized after upload first, then the CF automatic offload kicks in, so it’s the downsized image that gets offloaded to CF.

      Let me know your thoughts,

      Cheers,
      Jo ??

    Hi @joe-bloggs,

Thank you for the feedback! I believe, I have fixed the bulk offload issue – images that cannot be offloaded for any reason caused the bulk process to stop. I have also added the sortable columns option, as well as a few additional filters to help out sorting images in the media library. If you want to test it out, there’s a beta version available -> https://github.com/av3nger/cf-images/releases/tag/1.6.0-beta.1

I’ll have a look at the plugins you’ve mentioned and will see if I can add the integration for the next version.

    Best regards,
    Anton

Thanks so much for that Anton,

The new additional sorting filters are working perfectly, really helpful. I might actually need to do a little library cleanup now when I see it filtered before running the bulk offload again.

For the image downsizing on upload, checkout the Image Optimiser by Shortpixel. Support for this one would be really great. It does give an option to convert the images to WebP & AVIF, but it can be turned off in the plugin since CF does the same thing, but overall it just offers a bit more sophisticated downsizing settings.

    @joe-bloggs,

I have added an integration with ShortPixel to the upcoming version – the plugin will now update images on Cloudflare after an image has been optimized/restored with ShortPixel.

I tested the “Resize After Upload” plugin and it worked without any issues for me.

    Best regards,
    Anton
