So first of all, Virtue is awesome! I mean it! It’s easy to use and super user friendly and I absolutely love it.

That being said, I have encountered some problems. The main problem being that text I have centered on certain pages, are not centered at all, but rather a little off, and I’m not sure why. It looks very unprofessional and messy so I’d like to fix it. Here are the pages:

    https://www.theyoungwords.com/submissions/

    https://www.theyoungwords.com/news/

As you can see, not only text but widgets are also wrongly positioned. The only page where this didn’t happen was the home page:

Does anyone know a fix for this?

I’m also having the problem that the mobile version (And some window dimensions) lose the menu. I don’t know why, but the mobile version has no menu!

    Thanks in advance! ??

  • Hey,
On those pages it looks like you have a sidebar? Just don’t have any widgets in the sidebar so you can’t see anything..
If you don’t want to have a sidebar use the “fullwidth” page template in your page attributes. that should “fix” this for you.

Did you set a menu to be the mobile menu in your appearance > menus?

    hope that helps,

    Hey there,

Thank you so much for helping me with this. I guess there wasn’t anything broken after all, just me being a little stupid! Sorry about that!

Is there any way to apply the “fullwidth” template to the blog as well?

Thank you so much for helping me out!

    Kind regards,
    Marc

    Go to

    >Appearance >Theme Options >Main Settings >Site Layout Style >Select the “Solid Light Grey Box”

and all your pages will now be wide.

    Hi there,

I thought about doing this too, but unfortunately by doing this it removes the sites background! Is this the only way?

Thank you for the quick responses!

Also, after trying this I concluded that it doesn’t actually widen the blog…

I would make sure that the “Page Attributes” section on your Blog is not defaulting to the “Blog” template. When a page is titled the same as a WordPress page template, WordPress will automatically set that page to use the template. It will be sneaky about it though, and label it as the “Default Template.” It is possible that this is causing the layout errors. If you find that it is set to “Default Template” or “Blog,” change it to “full screen” and that should solve it for you. And if that doesn’t do it, I’m sure someone smarter than me will let us know what to do!

How would I set about correcting this if it were the case?

I really appreciate you trying to explain it to my somewhat thick brain ??

    Hey,
So to clarify a couple things.
    >Appearance >Theme Options >Main Settings >Site Layout Style.

that ^ only applies to the layout style, has nothing to do with the sidebar..
    See here for wide: https://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue/
    and here for boxed: https://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue2/

To have a blog page with no sidebar go to settings > reading. There make sure you have set a static page to be your front page and for posts page leave that blank. don’t make a selection, if you already have made a selection then unselect the page.

Then go to the page that you have set to be your blog page. Edit it and in the page attributes make sure you have selected the “blog” page template.

    Save the page.

Once it reloads you will see some options in reference to the blog template. One of the options is “Display Sidebar?” there choose no.

    Hope that helps,
