Text area – stop Enter key adding to basket

    Is there a way to offer the text area field, and allow the return key to honor line breaks and not add the item to basket.

    Seems to be hit & miss for us, sometimes it does a line break, others it adds to basket, I’d like to make it so no matter what you do return/enter just does the line break in the text area.

    Hi @jonnybrad2001, there doesn’t seem to be any issue with the ‘enter’ key. The key does a line break and nothing more when typing on the text area field. I suggest you avoid pressing the tab key while on the text area field, as that will advance/switch the active element from the text area field to the next available component on the product page. It might be the quantity selector or the add-to-cart button.

    I’d also like to point out that the text area field works similarly to the text area field on this support thread. The ‘enter’ key adds a line break, but it becomes temporarily inactive when you press the tab key or click outside of the field.
