Text box expands in WP 4.0

    The change log says that the visual editor now expands to fit everything, but an unfortunate side effect is that the text editor does as well. I use the text editor exclusively, and I really don’t like this new “feature.” Can anyone point me in the right direction to comment out this behavior in the core? (Yes, yes, I know I’m not supposed to edit the core, but I have to because there’s no other way to fix certain things.)

    Nobody ever sees the “Screen Options” box, do they? ??

    Top right corner of the screen, there is a box that says “Screen Options”. Click it. In here, you’ll find a new option that says “Expand the editor to match the window height.” Toggle it on or off as you please.

    I marked this “resolved” a couple of hours after posting it, having found the fix in screen options.
