• I have just noticed links appearing in new posts, which I did not insert. There are certain words (live, play for example) that come up in preview as links, to spammy websites. I’ve checked the HTML window, and there is no code there. I change the word and the link disappears.

I’ve checked this on two sites, the same thing happens. One site uses Thesis, the other site I am not admin, so I don’t know what they are using, but it’s not Thesis.

Anyone else noticed this? Anyone have a fix?

On your site where you are the admin, check your plugins.

Does this happen on other non-Wordpress sites as well? it it does it’s one of the more common browser-based infections that are around. It means that either your browser has been infected by some malicious code, or you have an extension/plugin (or whatever your browser wants to call them) installed that’s doing this automatically. I hate ot say it, but as soon I hear about it happening across multiple sites I almost always find that it’s the users PC that’s got the problem.

Please share your site so we can take a look.
