Text Disappearing / Banner Button not working

  • Hi Nimbus themes,
    I have installed your theme WP Simple on my website, https://www.pokemonuranium.com.

    It was working fine until about a day ago, when the text unexpectedly disappeared except for the first letter on every row, and the main banner image disappeared (the other background images were still there however, as were the images & text for the Widgets).
    It looked like this:

    I have since restored it to how it was before, but I have no idea what could have caused this, since I didn’t access the website or edit the theme at all.

    Since entering all of the text again, I have found that the button on the main banner is not working properly, and nothing I do can get it to link right.
    I want it to link to a sub-page, https://www.pokemonuranium.com/trailer. But when I enter /trailer in the “Button Destination URL” box, it only links to the main page. Even when I delete all the text from the “button text” box, it doesn’t fully disappear like it should, and leaves a blank white box.

    I am mildly frustrated by this. I wanted a simple theme that I could adapt to display my content easily, but the unexpected glitches are a big turn-off. If I can’t find a way to repair this then I may end up switching to a new theme that is more user friendly with fewer bugs. I hope that you can help me.

    Hello – I am sorry to hear you’re having trouble with the theme. First of all, I have no idea how the theme could malfunction all on its own if there was no interaction with it. It is possible that the site was hacked or one of the plugins you had installed (if any) had an update that conflicted with the theme code. Nevertheless, I cannot be sure what caused this since this is the first time I am hearing of a user encountering this problem.

    For the button – if you can send me a temporary login to your website at sales@nimbusthemes.com, I can take a look at what may be going on here.
