• I used to be able to copy and paste from Word during Add New Post. What I was pasting had formatting and links. Now it doesn’t paste any of that. This really puts a damper on my posting as I have to do all of it withing the editor. I don’t like this. If I could easily roll back to the previous version I would.

OK that’s weird as that’s a feature of the new Visual Editor (copy from Word).

Give this a read, it may be that your experiencing problem with the visual editor.

Yes I discovered after my post how to do it. However with the visual editor I still loose 2 things, I do carry over links and bold but there is one line in my standard post that is bold/red and another that is bold/underlined. I don’t get the red and I don’t get the underline but I do get the bold. examples of what I post can be found on biblio.pennyhill.com.

The way things are now with the new editor adds a few steps to the process I used to whip through. I hope they correct this soon.

In the future I think WordPress should phase in major changes such as the editor and not “retire” one feature for a “new and improved” feature. IMHO.
