Text/html no longer showing

I am having the same issue where text entered in the main text area is not showing up on the front end. We generally put the sermon transcript in this area and past sermons are still showing up, but posts after Sep. 15 have not been working. I’ve tried using the “Sync Now” button in the Sermon Manager plugin settings, but all that seems to do is clear the main text area on the affected sermon posts. Any insight on this problem would be much appreciated.

@wpforchurch no, the hyperlink is not the issue. The issue is as @kkrause10 said. Any text being put into the main text box of a sermon on the backend just simply does not show on the front end.

Still an issue for us. Trying to roll back the plugin I suppose.

Anyone find a solution? @rodneyholloman were you able to roll back the plugin? At this point I am ready to start looking for an alternative plugin to use.

We don’t use the Description section, but I can verify that it does not work in SM 2.30.0. We use a custom theme, using a Child Theme of Twenty Twenty-four. I created a new sermon and added text in the Description section. Doesn’t work. I changed themes to the default Twenty Twenty-four and it does display.

Rolling mine back too since there seems to be no answer forthcoming (thanks @hikinmike for the link). Hopefully the developer fixes soon or I will have to switch to another plugin.

Same problem here. Interrestingly it was only those sermons created with 2.30 that were not showing the description. Those previously created with 2.20 and earlier showed just fine.. Rolling back to 2.20 brought back the descriptions for the missing ones.

Incidentally we use a customised GeneratePress theme.

Please please backup your site before installing this. I have forked Sermon Manager and beginning to take on updates to the plugin.

@riceguitar In my testing site, I rolled back to 2.20, created a new sermon w/description. Works fine. Made a back-up using the SM export/import tool. Updated to SM 2.30. The sermon from 2.20 shows up fine. Created a new sermon. It will not display the description. Made another back-up. Downloaded and activated your fix. The 2.20 sermon displays fine, but the 2.30 still won’t display even after I imported the back-up.
