Text in footer widget not showing when using Bombax theme

Hi,

I am having a similar problem with my website as some previous posters. I tried to add a footer widget with some text and when I save it, the footer does not show in the page.

On searching the home page source code for the text I added (‘aa’) I found it here

As you can see the theme is Bombax: could it be a problem of the bombax theme or should I manually edit the page source code to insert the footer?

I am using wordpress version WordPress 3.0.1
