Text in post online missing, but fine in editor

  • Oh dear, I am truly lost. I’ve just updated to the 4.1.1 version and the overview of news posts have changed to only showing one instead of all – any help one this is much appreciated!

    But the worst is that my posts have gone missing from the site. They look just fine in the editor, but as soon as I click to see them, they only appear with the headline and no text at all. Hope someone can help me? If you click on the 1 news post, you can see the issue.

    Troubleshooting I’ve done includes disactivating all plugins but this did not change it unfortunately. I’m really in over my head…

    Hi. Can you check if your theme is ready for WP4.1? Have they updated their code recently? It might be that the problem lies there.

    Hi,

    well, the theme is custom built by a former employee, so I guess it never really gets updated. Unfortunately I don’t know much about coding, which is also why I cant seem to find the issue ??

    I’m scared that there might not be anything I can do… I have a back up from before installing the new version – If I revert, do I also revert the version of wordpress? And the plugins?

    In that case I would suggest hiring a new developer to update your website. It’s probably due to incompatibility.
