Hey there everyone. I am just in search of a plugin or widget that allows me to add text to my sidebar. The only thing is that I want this text to be different on each page and don’t want the same text to be view throughout the site (whether it is the blog page or my random pages).

Is there a plugin available that allows me to do this? Or does my theme, K2, allow me to do this?

Thanks and I hope to get help from you soon. It is a fairly important thing for my site so I hope to get some answers sooner then later.

You can code it into your sidebar – see https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Conditional_Tags.

Where do I add these little codes? What file and whereabouts in that file specifically?

Thanks for your reply by the way dave-p.

Does it needs to be all in one text-widget? Then you might be successfull by using the Executable PHP widget to write the Conditional Tags in it as mentioned by dave-p.

Another option would be to have a separate text widget for every page and use the Dynamic Widgets plugin to only show the intended widget to that specific page.

Well that’s the thing. All I want is to have a little bit of text that is shown on various pages, however unique to that page only. I don’t want any of the text boxes to show up globally throughout the site on all pages unless I choose to do so.

Do you think that in this case, Dynamic Widgets would be best to use?

I am using Dynamic Widgets and it seems to be working perfectly. Thanks a lot for the recommendation qurl!
