Ok, I have done a couple of things that make the slider work better. In the situation reported above, I did not display the slider arrows and did have “Read more” at the bottom of the text.

I reversed the options, showing the slider arrows and removing the “Read more” text.

The slider arrows forced the text inward so that, technically, all the text is within the slider area. But it seems to me that the text should be between the picture and the right arrow. That’s the way the preview looks, but not the way the slider works on my front page.

    Hi,

I am having the same problem with this plugin.:(

No matter what I do I cant get the text to sit inside the slider text area correctly? The text just spins out in one line and doesn’t repeat underneath as it should do?

The preview shows fine but when I get to the page it’s not looking the same. The image is fine and the layout is basically good but the text just runs as one long line off into the rest of the page.

    Please help.:)

    Hi, Kittyface,

Your problem sounds a little different from mine. Yours sounds like a wordwrap problem. The text in my slider wrapped, but the margins weren’t working properly. As I said, when I changed some of the settings the text set more or less correctly in Firefox. Later I looked at the page in IE and found that the problem still existed there.

I read somewhere that this was an IE problem and there was a fix. I did the fix but I don’t remember what it was. Sorry.

If the plugin’s author doesn’t respond, do a search on “word-wrap probem in IE.”
