Text loses formatting when copied and paste into front-end job submission form

    I just recently discovered that when i copy a formatted job description text from another page and paste it in the job description field in the front-end job submission form, the text loses it’s formatting. But this is not the case in the back-end just in the front-end only. But before now the front-end used to retain text formatting, this issue just started recently. I have replicated the issue on other site i manage and the same problem occurred. How do i resolve this?

    Hi there, @jobsgivers,

    I tested the job description editor form, and I can confirm that it doesn’t apply any pre-formatted styling upon pasting text in there (I tested a text with bold, underlined characters, and an inline code.

    However, we haven’t changed the box editor since a while, so I wonder if something else has changed on your end recently.

    Can you share an example of formatted text that has lost its styling? You can share screenshots if that helps. You can create screenshots using something like Snipboard or Imgur and post the link here.

    I can’t seem to understand your response. Are you saying that the front-end job description editor does not retain formatting by default when pasted? So i don’t have to bother about a functionality that doe not exist? Please be more clear with you response

    Hey @jobsgivers,

    What I’m saying is that i can see that the form in the frontend doesn’t keep any formatted text when pasting it in the description box.

    So what you’re experiencing is something we are aware of, as we haven’t changed the form in a long time.
    We wonder, however, if something else has changed that we don’t know about or we missed, so we asked for an example of formatted text that you lost upon adding it to the description form. Our goal is to confirm to you whether that’s expected behaviour or there’s another glitch you discovered.
