Text not showing up for a link field if no URL

  • I have enjoyed using Participants Database. I am using the database as a kind of catalog. I am using a link field for my resource titles. The resources for which I have written blog posts have links to those posts, but not all the resources have posts and therefore do not have URLs. Previously, I was able to display the resource titles for those without links, however, I now find that the titles without links no longer display. Other fields for those records are displayed. Do I have to have a URL to have the text display?

    I think I had assumed that a link field should have a valid URL in order to display. I hadn’t considered that the field could be used in a different way. Probably, I will need to issue an update to change how this works.

    Now my link fields display the URL not the text for any record with a URL and the text for any record that does not have a url??
