Text of new posts not showing on site

    Yesterday I created new posts on this site, but the text doesn’t appear to non admin users. Older posts do display text. I’ve installed Wordfence, done checks on Plugins (deleted unneeded ones) – all appear OK and are very standard ones. I’ve checked the HTML code, nothing seems to be added – ie no /SPAN. Checked twenty seventeen was compatible with Guttenberg. Deleted unneeded themes. Checked Settings against my other websites – OK.

    Totally mystified – any suggestions, please?

  • Hi David,

    Have you tried switching themes? Have you also tried deactivating current plugins on-by-one to see if a change of one plugin changes the display.
    Have you you checked console for errors?

    Hi Phil, I should have added, I’ve tried switching themes, but haven’t de-activated Plugins. Most are Automattic/Jetpack ones and the behaviour of only hiding text from posts created yesterday doesn’t (imho) appear to show a Plugin problem – but if no other advice is coming, of course I’ll do that. No errors on Console. I should have also added I’ve tested on Safari, Brave and Chrome, and done browser cache clearances.

    Changing post to Password required doesn’t change viewing of text either. In fact – I don’t get a prompt to supply a password????

    OK. It does appear to be a Plugin problem. Sorry to have bothered anyone who read this, especially Phil. Deactivating all Plugins, clearing cache (Chrome) and I get the Password request back, and the text of recent posts. Why not the ones pre-September 3rd though. Mystifying!!!
