It’s possible that something changed that is affecting the HTML that is being generated. Can you please send the generated JSON for the article via a Pastebin link so that I can troubleshoot further?

Hi Kevin,

This error appears to happen when there are images embedded within the lists. You can get around this issue by turning off html support, but then the lists won’t be formatted correctly (e.g. each item in ordered lists has number 1 vs. 1,2,3 etc.)

Images in lists aren’t supported by Apple News Format. You can’t use an <img> tag in Apple News Format HTML, so you have to break it out into a separate component, which means it’s no longer part of the list, and the numbering gets fubar’d:

I’d strongly recommend switching to something like this:
