To add padding around the feed you would go to your WordPress Dashboard – Customize – General (tabbed page) – and adjust the setting on the third option (“Feed Padding”) on the page. You can set either by pixel or percentage. Then click on “Save Changes”.
However, since you indicate that you only want to adjust the padding on the left side then I would need a link to your site page where this is happening and inspect the underlying code to provide you with the correct custom CSS snippet to affect only the left side. The custom CSS can then be entered into your plugin’s settings.
