The text widget inserted into the Wide Sidebar Top on my site https://www.bodyworker.org will not display html links. The link text disappears altogether from view.

This is what I have entered into the text widget titled “Aloha Friends”:

My name is Leela and I love practicing, teaching, and writing about massage, yoga, and mindful living. Self care benefits us all with positive ripple effects and inspired contributions to the community.

Whether you want to read the Bodyworker.org blog, <a href="https://www.bodyworker.org/massage/massage-appointments/" title="book a massage"></a> book a massage or yoga appointment, learn about yoga swings, access coaching and training, or network, I am here to learn, serve and enjoy with you.

I want “book a massage” to link to another page on my site.
Please note, I have “book a massage” entered twice because the html link disappears. Will remove when I learn how to resolve.

    Thank you for your help.

The closing anchor tag does not enclose any text. Try something like this:

Whether you want to read the Bodyworker.org blog, <a href="https://www.bodyworker.org/massage/massage-appointments/" title="book a massage">book a massage</a> or yoga appointment, learn about yoga swings, access coaching and training, or network

    Thank you for the fix.
I used the WP new post page to create the link that didn’t work. Is there a better way to to create the html for other links so that the closing anchor tag encloses text automatically?

Just highlight (select) the text you want in the link before clicking the link icon or button.
