• Hi,
I have searched the internet and the support forums for a solution of my problem.

I have a multisite insallation, with two sites. One site is ok, but the main site is experiencing problems with the text widgets.

I can’t save or get the text widgets to stick. Once I update the window or leave the page, all text widgets are gone. I’ve tried everything that I can think of.
Disabled and enabled all plugins with no result.
Changed themes, the problem is still there in all themes.
Gone through my .css and my .php files.
I just don’t get it. I seems that many have had similar problems, but not many answers are out there.

Do anyone have any idea of what I could do next?

  • Have you tried deleting your plugins folder entirely (back it up first!)? This will force all plugins to fully deactivate.

Seeing as though you’ve tried most troubleshooting methods, you can try to reupload your WordPress files.

Backup your entire WP folder, delete all WP files off your server except the wp-content folder and wp-config.php file.

Download a fresh copy of WordPress and upload the new files (not including wp-content folder and wp-config).

You won’t lose any content if done correctly, and you have a backup should you delete/overwrite something you shouldn’t have.

Let me know how you get on.

    Hi @themesumo,
Thank you for your answer. So I reinstalled WordPress. But the problem remains. I thought it was some kind of database issue, so I put up a new one, but still the same thing happens. So strange.

Can it be a problem on the server? And what would that be?
