Text will not appear

Someone hacked my site. Fixed that and had to restore a backed up version. When I did that the text in my slider would not appear. I can see them, I have updated my slides but nothing appears.
Please tell my I don’t have to mess with code. I have no clue. I am strictly a plug and play person.thanks
