Textile: What does it do?

  • I recently installed 1.2 on a test site, and activated textile2, but I couldn’t see any difference.
    The textile website didn’t tell me much either.
    So what is this thing for?

  • The advantage is that you can put text that you normally type like Edgar and his gnoos?! can now be typed like this: *Edgar and his gnoos?!*. Less typing.

    Ok, I understand the effort about Textile, but the wiki sintax is very more simple.
