  • I’ve found this addon as the only one so far (at least I think so) that embeds the event functionality to default WP posts, instead of creating it’s own taxonomies. That allows events to be handled by plenty of other WP addons that don’t recognize custom taxonomies (such as sliders, post grids etc.).
    Right now I have only one problem – days initials in calendar table aren’t translatable, but I hope I will find a workaround.
    I also suggested a lot of string translations to Croatian here in translate.wordpress and I hope to to do a lot more.
    I hope you’ll continue development of this addon. ??

  • Use Loco to translate language files to any plugin. I use it with success.

    There is two glitches with Event post and Loco translate, I’m aware of: the location of the translated language file must be System. Location Author and Custom is not read. 2nd: when Event post plugin is updated, the translation file is lost. Keep a backup of the files, so you can pour it into the language in case translations is lost.

    It is anyway a good practice to keep a backup to any file you manipulated by hand.

    I have WPML. I don’t believe that Loco will translate what WPML didn’t. There is no translatable source string in plugin for days initials. I’m trying to find it in php, didn’t suceeded so far.

    This works for me in the appropriate PO file (exported from the Loco pugin)

    Oh, there is another unwanted sideeffect: Post Event strips the first letter of the translated string, but ignores the possibility that is can be a unicode character. Therefore the first character of the translation shall be a basic ASCII character.

    Ooo, thank you! You saved my life. Didn’t realize that strip to initials thing, so I was looking for “M” string instead of “Monday”. :))) Now I’ve edited that through WPML in a minute. ??
    And about that non-unicode issue… I can live with that.
