Thank You

  • I upgraded to WP 4.2, to my dismay certain special characters on my sites (e.g. heavy check mark ? = hex 2714) were being arbitrarily converted and displayed as emojis, with no way to disable.

    Hopefully WP will soon provide a setting to disable the new emoji natively, but until then, this plugin works perfectly.

    I doubt there will be any built-in option to turn it off. I think we will be stuck with them for the foreseeable future.
