Thank you email inserting two

  • When the thank you email is sent it is adding an extra section. Like this:

    Dear Jane Doe,

    On behalf of Valley Family Center and the children and adults we serve, I am writing to thank you for your support of Valley Family Center with your gift of 50.00 (USD).

    Dear [firstname] [lastname],

    On behalf of Valley Family Center and the children and adults we serve, I am writing to thank you for your support of Valley Family Center with your gift of [amount] for the General Fund.

    Thanks to you, our clients receive the counseling and education they need to transform their lives.

    Other than the section in italics the email is perfect. Any ideas what would cause that?

    That is weird (and new). It seems like it’s sending both an email and the test template. Any chance you’ve done something wacky with how you entered an email address or your email server is routing somewhere odd?

    Anyone else seen this behavior?

    P.S. Another idea is to turn off other plugins or switch to a standard theme and see if the behavior persists.

    No changes to email address or the server settings. The theme is pretty wacky in other areas though so I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s what causing the issue. I can try fooling with a couple other plugins but changing the theme isn’t really an option.

    Is there a way to turn off the test template to see if that fixes it?

    No, because the test template is only supposed to fire when you explicitly hit the button to send the test. That’s why it’s so odd that you’re seeing this.

    It appears to only be happening when I select to designate to a specific fund. If I don’t designate a specific fund the email does not contain the test template area.

    Additionally, when I do designate the fund the test template area does show the fund I selected.

    Very odd. Is it a specifically named fund or any time you specify a fund?
