Thanks and feature requests

  • I love this plugin. I’ve used it now on two websites to create data entry forms where I needed the data stored in a database (in a better format than something like Contact Form 7). Its been a life saver; I sent you a small donation as thanks. ??

    Here are a couple of things I’ve noticed that might be nice additions, if you want to put them on the “someday” feature list, Take it FWIW ??
    – it would be nice on the Manage Database Fields screen if, after entering a new field title, pushing ENTER activated the Add Field button (maybe it does? but it doesn’t work on Firefox). It would be nice when I’m creating a lot of fields because it would be faster.
    – it would be helpful to be able to clone fields and/or clone entire groups. For example, for one website I was collecting product data, and had groups called Product A, Product B, and Product C that all contained the same fields.

    Nice suggestions.

    One question though: If the product groups only differ in the name of the product, why not use a single group with an additional multi-select field to identify the group?

    Well, what we’re doing is collecting information from people who will be guest speakers in an online conference. So they will have one/many packages they sell related to their keynote topic. Package A could consist of product 1 and product 2, and we need a title, description, price, etc for package a. Then Package B would consist of product 1, 2, etc (may be the same as the first package, may be different), and I then need a title, description, price etc for that package.

    Does that make sense? It’s a LOT of data to collect, and the plugin handles it beautifully…it just took awhile to set up initially. ??
