Thankyou…. and stop your whinge

Hello All,

I, like everyone else out there, am a person who uses WordPress… increasingly these days for sites I build and use.

I would like to say thank you to Matt, Automatic and all those out there that work effortlessly to make WordPress what it is, you have changed my life and I am sure many others out there that have worked in the web world or those that just want to do their own thing on the interwebby. I personally have a hard time looking past WordPress as a solution for many of the websites that I am asked to design these days.

I would also like to say to all those out there that hop on these forums and moan that they can’t get this or that to work and WordPress is not as advertised, or this or that version is bunk, to get over yourselves. WordPress is FREE, put here to use as you so wish. There are literally hundreds if not thousands of hours that go into making it tick and as many to all those that make plugins; you get to have it all for nothing. I have bought systems in the past that have less grunt and less support that what is available right here for free and I continue to buy software that I need to do what I do that I know I am being shafted for.

I was, am and never will be a code genius, but when I decided that WordPress was for me, I made the effort to learn what I need to to make it do what I want, or fix it if it needs fixing. If I can’t do it or find an answer, then I know of people that will do it for small fees. So far there has been nothing I have not been able to resolve with the help of these forums or certain folk.

So, to all those that complain, stop it… spoilt children :). To everyone else, Matt, Automatic, all those folk that make themes and plugins, thank you so very much!
