for starters , you – somehow – are wrapping the whole widget into a link.

i can assure you the widget does not do that. so i would suggest you fix that first and see if you still have the same problem and let me know if you do

actually – not withstanding the above – you probably also have

“I do not have any affiliate relationships and/or would like to contribute to the development of this plugin.”
selected in the plugins settings under affiliates.

tradedoubler does not do iTunes anymore, or more accurately, iTunes does not deal with tradedoubler anymore (and i’ll have to take this out in an update)

for the moment though you can just select

“I do not want to use any *affilate* links at all. All links go directly to the iTunes store”

instead and you should be fine regarding “The advertiser is not active.”

(you should still take out the link that wraps the whole widget i mentioned above though)

Yeah. The link thing is weird. Coming through from a html widget above, but my tags are all closed.

No matter though, I bumped the itunes lookup widget above it and then onto another widget menu to make sure and that sorted that, so I could then try your second suggestion as well.

That worked too. thanks for your help and super prompt response.
