The attribute in the Powered by links messed up the responsive design theme

Im running twenty-twelve theme and every time the form loads on the smaller device. The page will be enlarge to 500px because of the “width = 500px; ” in the powered by links. I tried to use my developers tools in the browser to mute this attribute then just keep the “max-width=500px” below and it works fine.
